Presentation
The University of La Réunion is a French institution of higher education and research, located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, due to this original geostrategic position, it is the only European university in this region of the world. It welcomes nearly 12,000 students each year on average for a park of 80,000 m² of buildings spread over the sites of Saint-Denis (at Moufia, at Victoire, at the University Technological Park and at Bellepierre), as well as on those of Le Tampon and of Saint-Pierre (IUT). The University of La Réunion has many assets to fully play its role as an interface between Europe and the Indian Ocean.
Assignment
The Operational Plan of the University of La Réunion, backed by the Establishment Contract (SOURCE), aims to translate the strategy of the new term of office into action by 2020. It synergizes the five-year contract (national strategy and European) and regional strategies (SEFORRE, SRDE2I, CRDFOP) and will be broken down by the end of 2017 into multi-year contracts of objectives and means (CPOM) of the internal components of the University. Training, scientific research and cross-functional activities are now an integral part of the new version CPOMs.
The SOURCE is being developed within the framework of consultation both internal and external to the University of La Réunion.
Its strategic axes are based on the following 5 orientations:
1. Support and success for all: adapted training offer and creation of gateways to sectors of excellence, lifelong training, apprenticeship, student entrepreneurship;
2. Excellence in research and development;
3. International openness and regional cooperation: an ambitious establishment strategy in the areas of Training, Research, Innovation;
4. Quality of life on attractive eco-campuses with international visibility;
5. A balanced and representative managerial model, a digital strategy and tools serving a collective project.
Organization
The university offers a multidisciplinary and diversified range of training courses of excellence both in initial training and in continuing education: - LMD diplomas (Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate) in accordance with European standards which cover the three main areas "Letters and Human Sciences » ; “Law, Economics and Management”; “Science, Technology and Health”; - vocational training (vocational degrees, university degrees in technology, etc.); - engineering degrees.
