  • The FORMAPROD Program or Vocational Training and Agricultural Productivity Improvement Program is a program in the agricultural sector, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture for a period of 10 years (2013-2023) and is mainly financed by IFAD.

    The number of planned beneficiaries is approximately 2.7 million in total, including 640,000 direct beneficiaries, corresponding to 7 million affected population.

  • - Ensure a national agricultural and rural training system supporting the development of the agricultural sector

    - Ensure a regional agricultural and rural training system adapted to the needs of rural people

    - Contribute to increasing the productivity of family farms by promoting training

  • - 13 CRFAR (Regional Committee for Agricultural and Rural Training) created and 13 regional plans drawn up
    - 450,000 students educated
    - 1,500 agricultural technicians trained
    - 6,500 peasant leaders trained
    - 100,000 professional projects carried out
    - 1,000 CEPs set up, including 30,000 producers affected
    - 600 helping hand projects supported and 1,080 cost-shared projects supported
    - and 6,000 ha of developed irrigated perimeters.
