Key words

  • This project provides institutional support to the FENAB so that the latter can have leadership in organic farming (training services, communication, marketing, etc.). Thus, this project wishes to allow the members of the FENAB at the base to have organic and profitable family farms (that is to say, to promote a healthy life and respectful of ecosystems) capable of satisfying national demand and exporting part of their production abroad.

    Finally, through this project, FENAB seeks to improve its ability to influence national agricultural policies but also at the local level so that organic farming can be integrated into agricultural policies.

    • Strengthen the organizational, technical and financial capacities of FENAB and its grassroots members;
    • Promote advocacy to influence agricultural policies to integrate organic farming at national and local level.

    • The family farms of FENAB members are able to meet national demand and export part of their organic production;
    • A policy dialogue is underway to enable the integration of organic farming into national and local policies.

    FENAB was created in March 2008, this federation brings together organizations of producers, sellers, processors, consumers and support organizations that work for the development of organic agriculture in Senegal.
