Key words

  • The purpose of the BIOPIPER project is to sustainably produce natural extracts of two Piperaceae, with a view to their use in the context of agroecological crop protection. There are 3 general objectives /

    • Synergize the skills of partners with complementary mandates on the use of endemic plants as biocontrol tools;
    • Design and develop the sustainable production of the two plants for use as biocontrol tools;
    • Disseminate and promote the results and products obtained

  • These general objectives are broken down into 6 operational objectives corresponding to the actions of the project:

    1. Animate, coordinate and manage the activities of the partners, on 3 poles of activity (research, regulation, valorization);
    2. Design, develop and optimize the production of the two plants;
    3. Produce and characterize phytochemically extracts from wild and cultivated plants;
    4. Measure the effectiveness of extracts on various bioaggressors of a generic nature and of economic importance in Reunion and on a national scale;
    5. Provide regulatory knowledge for the commercial use of the production of plants or extracts;
    6. Disseminate the results for a successful transfer to beneficiaries
